Copyrighted Material

MacDesktops.net users agree not to upload any material that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner(s) of said copyright, trademark or other proprietary right. While MacDesktops.net is not responsible for content uploaded by our members, we will comply with all lawful requests for removal. Should you find your own copyrighted image uploaded here, please email us.

Profanity/Nudity

MacDesktops.net strives to provide an evironment suitable for all ages and takes a firm stance on profanity/nudity. Any form of nudity, be it artist-rendered or actual, and profanity in comments is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply could result in account termination.

Questionable Content

Please refrain from posting Questionable Content such as material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, racist, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, that otherwise violates any law, or that encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense.

Acceptable Use

All content posted to MacDesktops.net is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.

Note that MacDesktops.net reserves the right to update these terms at any time without notice and it is your responsibility to check your actions for compliance. Violations are determined at the sole discretion of the administration and could result in submission removal and/or account termination.

By uploading to MacDesktops.net, you agree that your image meets the following requirements:

• Your image contains no nudity be it artist-rendered or real.
• You image contains no swimsuit or underwear models.
• Your image contains no profanity.
• Your image contains no explicit, hateful, abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, or otherwise threatening messages.
• Your image is large enough to fit a normal sized desktop (at least 800x600).

Violations are determined at the sole discretion of the administration. Violating these requirements will result in image deletion and could result in account termination.

Your privacy is very important to us. We will never sell, rent, or give your personal information to third parties for any reason.

Specific pieces of information collected during free registration, including your email address and password, are completely confidential. Data such as username, homepage, and other optional profile information is publicly available.

Note that passwords are encrypted before being stored in our database. For security and privacy reasons, we do not have access to these passwords. You can reset your password if you have forgotten.

We require email address confirmation to activate your account due to the rising number of confirmation emails that bounce. We require a valid email address in order to alert you of important changes to your submissions (for example, we would email you to inform you that your submission has been removed because it violates of our Acceptable Use Policy).
